Teaching Values-Character Education

Several years ago I came across a great tip about teaching Values.  Linda and Richard Eyre have written many books about teaching children and this little gem has stayed with me for years.  (I don't recall the exact book where they talked about this, but I'm sure this thought came from them.)

 I don't know about you, but I often wonder if I'm teaching all of the values that are important to me in my day to day life to my kids.

Easy Sewing Project

     I wanted to share a cute project I did with my girls a few days ago.  These are designed for kids 8+ to make.  My girls are 5 and 7 so there was a bit more supervision required.  We loved them!  It was the perfect, quick, project that we could create and they could play with right away.  The kit came with all the materials you'd need except scissors.  The needles are flexible and dull which made them perfect for using with felt and little fingers.  Did I mention that the holes are already in the felt for even easier sewing?  Love these!  They're great to help with...

Day 1 of Teaching 4 Moments new blog!

Post #1- So exciting! I've recently made the decision to homeschool my 4 kiddos.  Since I'm incredibly new to this I thought it might be fun (as well as possibly useful to others) to document my journey.  I'm still getting my blog set up, so stay tuned for future posts!  In the meantime, enjoy this little "Life is Good" dog picture.  He's cute, right?
